About the Teacher…

Joya Davidson has played piano for over twenty-five years. She has won awards for playing in competitions and music festivals and has been teaching since 2003.

From 2003-2007 she was employed at a Naperville, Illinois music studio where she would teach as many as 98 students each week in both group and private lessons alike. Since 2007, she has taught in her various students’ homes. Joya has started lessons successfully with children as young as three and has experience teaching adults as well.

Additionally, Joya has led worship services for several churches in the Plainfield, Illinois area where she has both sang and played piano from 2001-2021. She recently moved to Lodi, Wisconsin in the fall of 2021.

Since moving to Lodi, Joya enjoys instilling a love of musical learning by sharing her own passion and teaching expertise with others. She specializes in teaching beginner to intermediate piano students, both young and old! You can often find her at the local coffee shop in downtown Lodi, where she enjoys chilling with her husband Luke, who is also a musician.
